Do you like DoeNutts?

Recently the labratory down here at ClearSounds Studios has been inflitrated by the sugary sweet lyrics of Phetti, the High Phat vocal delivery of OverDose, and the extra Nut topping w/a strange filling of lyrics by Young Neek reppin' the Sacramento rap group The DoeNutts Click. I know what your thinking, Doughnuts? what kinda rap group names their click after a morning snack food? What the F**k's tht mean? Man I gotta tell you, at first I thoughtthe same thing. I thought it was just some youngsta's comin through the studio to do a cheap ass mix tape. You know the type, the ones that come to the studio, bring a bunch of people that DON'T do music, and attempt to write, record, and mix the song or songs down within the studios minimum booking timeframe (while intoxicated), and then between the 10 or 20 of them, they can't barely come up w/that, so you get paid in a 10" stack of ones and fives...But thankfully Dose, Neek and Phetti ain't like that! Their sessions went very smoothly and they showed a lot of professionalism in and out of the vocal booth. Overdose delivers a very strong vocal presence throughout the songs while his partner Phetti always seems to ride the beats as if he's a Frisco pimp w/a pocket full of cash and not a care in the world...maybe that's why they call him Phetti? Then the 3rd player in the Click is a wild youngsta nammed Young Neek, lovingly referred as Shitty Neeko melonakis! All together these three bring some unique flavor to the Northern California music scene. I recommend that you check out their upcoming show opening for Keak da Sneak and Too Short at Fandango's in Rancho Cordova on May 12th These Cats ain't no sugarry snack food, they are all about that money...in fact they so bout it and gots so much of it on hand that young Phetti reported a physicall ailment from countin racks of hundred dollar bills. Apparently when money is counted in such large amounts, the digits on your hands can cramp and turn black! Amazing! None

The 2006 Namm Show is on and crackin!

The Namm show...where every aspiring musician (gearslut) dreams of going to develop solid relationships with their suppliers (a.k.a. kissing the ass of your favorite audio equipment dealer and attempting to get endorsed by said company so you can use their dope products!) Personally, we use ONLY Monster Audio brand cables in our studio and we are proud to say that they are an outstanding product! Thanks Monster! This year 2006 sees Hogg and Yng Dave stuck in the lab mixing down Colma's raw tracks that they laid down before hitting I-5 for the big road trip from Sac to L.A. while Colma, Kenny "The Clutch" Mendoza from Mendoza Ent. and Clear Sounds Studios, and Ernie C from Body Count and the band Machine, represent for the ShortFuze Faculty.
